Who is the Mediator?
Before we begin, let’s establish who the INFP is. This personality is known as the Mediator, a type that accounts for only 4% of the general population. This rare personality hides a heart of passion, creativity, and empathy behind a quiet and unassuming exterior.
The Mediator is an open-minded and imaginative individual, often finding themselves swept away in daydreams, exploring the worlds in their head. This quality lends itself fantastically to creative endeavors, making Mediators strongly talented artists and designers. They tend to pursue their passions in many directions at once, engaging in all kinds of things from music, to poetry, to dance, painting, theater, and more.
Empathetic and compassionate to the core, Mediators are a deeply kind-hearted and caring personality type. They’re quick to trust and seek to find the best in people. When in a group setting, a Mediator is more likely to boost someone else’s self-esteem before their own, even if it’s to their own detriment.

Luna Lovegood
Luna Lovegood is one of the quietest and most unassuming (at face value) characters in the Harry Potter universe—a key trait of the Mediator. She also has an incredibly vivid imagination and seems to live in the fantasies within her head more than in reality. She’s kind-hearted, caring, and always looks for the best in people. That’s not to mention her fierce loyalty to her friends.
Frodo Baggins
Frodo Baggins carried the One Ring to the fires of Mount Doom in the land of Mordor in the world of the Lord of the Rings—a task not many others could have taken on. His journey required an enormous amount of self-sacrifice for the sake of others—all of Middle Earth, in fact!—a sacrifice he realized he alone could take on. His drive and willpower toward this goal is indicative of his nature as a Mediator.

Peter Parker, AKA Spider-man, has existed in many iterations through different mediums over the years. In all of these iterations, he has been portrayed slightly differently. However, the majority of these portrayals embrace the INFP personality type; Peter Parker is selfless and caring of others to a fault. He’s loyal to his loved ones and makes great sacrifices for the good of his beloved New York City—and beyond! His decisions are based on feeling and he always follows his sense of what’s right.
Aurora
Aurora, otherwise known as Sleeping Beauty, is one of Disney’s many INFP characters. She’s idealistic, free-spirited, and largely unaware of her physical surroundings due to the fantasy she lives in her head. She experiences emotions very deeply and is empathetic and incredibly kind-hearted when interacting with others.
Edward Scissorhands
Edward Scissorhands is another fictional character that claims the INFP personality type; a trait he shares with his actor, Johnny Depp. Edward is a deeply emotional and compassionate man who feels isolated and alone due to the fear and misunderstanding of those who encounter him. Despite being one of the gentlest characters on the show, Bran is fiercely loyal to his friends, his family, and his kingdom. He takes on great personal risk for them and stays stalwartly true to his definitions of right and wrong.
